Chambers has been hit or miss. A lot of miss. There was a good report last Saturday at Windsock and then I killed the sand bass on Sunday at Windsock. Picked up 3 Hybrid as well. There is a 20-22 fow hump a little over half way out. They were stacked up there. I would start out by side scanning at Windsock. Hasn't been a lot of pressure so if you find them you may be able to fish them without a boat show. About a month ago they were along the south side of the 2859 bridge along the East end, and around the Island between the 287 and 2859 bridge. If you need live bait, go to Windsock and as you get to the bank go around the right into the cove. Some flooded brush there that has been holding good shad all day. Picked up some hybrid and sand bass in that cove on occasion early in the morning feeding. It was dead at RC through August but this last week seems to have turned the corner heading into Fall. If anything the front may help.

Thanks for the Good info. We are staying at the cabins at Fisherman Point so that is all convenient. If you happen to be out this weekend we will be in a pontoon and probably will have large German Shepherd on look out. Stop by and get acquainted and get a cold Shiner!

The really good Sandbass bite was over in early August and there's been no consistent action since then. Recently, we've been on a few schools but most often you pick up a couple and they are gone. The live bait guides experienced the same on the Hybrids. Only consistent good bite has been Catfish and that's what almost everyone wanting a fish fry have been fishing for. Both shad and Danny Kings Punch Bait will get you a box of fish.
We're still looking every day or so for the Sandies but not finding much except lots of little fish schooling on the shorelines. Maybe the cooler weather will get the fish schooled up and eating.:)
Good Luck!

where is the windsock? I thought I had seen it, but when I went over to where I thought it was, it was not.

I don't think the actual Windsock is up anymore. Point is still called the same. Last point along SE shore near the Dam.
