You may be on to something here. Like the purplish hue on the back. Is there a little yellowish hue on the gill plates? For me a little darker blue upper back and a deep blue almost dark violet backbone and just a touch of redish at center mass would sweeten the deal. Seems like Excalibur Fat Free Shads came in a pattern very close to yours...can't recall the name but it killed the bass all spring and summer long.

You got the colors dead on I added just a light touch of a bone color around the gill plate.

Suggestion on this one...darken the eye socket before you put the eyes in. Just a bit of color to "plaster of paris" the eyes. At times this touch really makes the eyes stand out. Good pattern.... well worth the time to develop further.
