Took my new to me hobie pro angler out for the first time monday. Decided to crappie fish ended up with 12 keepers.threw all fish back,did not bring the ice chest.was amazed how well i could stay on stumps facing up wind.am pleased with my purchase.i just bought a 22 center console but relized i was limited where and how i coukd fish .

A great fishing kayak, that's for sure!

For getting up in the stumps and brush crappie fishing, and otherwise, I'd make sure and carry a brush clip (or two) and fasten it on to your anchor trolley. They'll grab onto almost anything above water and then you can get along with your fishing, release and move quickly when a spot change is required.

Anyway, in the right situation, they work really well instead of dropping an anchor.

Where did you fish?

Lots of kayakers on Wheeler Branch, few crappie . . . but lots of bass.

And, clear water.
