I was there to eat 2-3 times over the weekend,..my favorite place to eat, and great folks.
They do have a sign outside that they are hiring, so they may be a little short handed.
I'm not making excuses, but they have the best breakfast in town... I'd call'em back.

I'd give them another chance. One person doesn't represent the entire place. Some good people up there, they'll make it right I'm sure. Barry has an awesome tackle shop too. And not only is the breakfast great, so is the lunch during the middle of a hot day at Fork.

Heard his customer service was very poor.

He posted something about Dobyns Rods that he sells, and I tell you I would never set foot at his place or buy anything from him, He came off as a total Arse........

He posted that he doesn't participate in the over the counter exchange program (which is optional to the dealer) because people abuse it. It also creates inventory issues for dealers. It's called being a business man.

His tackle shop is awesome, the food is the best on the lake, the rooms are clean and he has been nothing but kind every time I have stepped in there.

I can say that whoever says Oak Ridge has bad CS must not have been in there since Barry and Tracy have owned it. We are blessed to have some really great marinas at Fork and to me Oak Ridge is right up there as one of the best. I am in the store on a regular basis and have never witnessed anyone being treated badly. I have seen them as well as employees bend over backwards to keep people happy. Barry has grown the tackle side of things in a big way. They have items you will not find anywhere else plus they do not price gouge you for them. The restaurant is top notch and never a bad meal. I have never stayed overnight but cannot imagine it not being a good place to stay. Its always clean and well kept around there.

Only real input I can add is at least go by there and make your own judgement on them. Not all things should be taken as the gospel on here. First hand experience is best. If you go and they do not meet your expectations then simply let them know. I bet they will do what they can to earn your business. I read what Barry posted on here and in no way do I think he was rude or out of line. He simply explained the facts in regard to an exchange policy that is optional for dealers to even participate in. If he ruffled any feathers I suggest again stopping in and visiting with him about it or shooting him a message. He listens to his customers and will respond to you I bet.

Lake Fork has some of the best independent operators in the State of Texas! Good people all around the lake. Each place has its own niche and calling. I am sure you just caught them on an off day, staging up for back to back to back busy weekends!

The owner, Barry, is a good man and tries very hard to run a good business. Unfortunately, good help is very hard to find, and keep, out there. Especially when your 'partner' is toxic to most they come in contact with.

I've only been in OR to eat twice since it changed hands.

First meal was good. About 14 months ago. The second attempt at a meal was on a Sunday at 12:30. After standing in line for 45 minutes, without moving, we watched as two yocals entered through the front door, went thru and to the back, only to return and sit down at the first booth by the door. Which had JUST been bussed and cleaned. We walked out and will never be back for a meal.

As for tackle, best on the lake so long as Ernie Dye is/was managing it.

Customer service at the facility is excellent. So long as Barry is directly involved. But the man can't be everywhere all at once. He would benefit greatly from the efforts of a cheerful, people loving property manager. The 'accountant' should focus on the finances. She wasn't cut out for whiny human interaction. Nothing wrong with that. She should play her strengths and find someone who can fill in for her in social matters.

Sorry, but I call them as I see them.

Pitiful Addington. Nothing but a run-on sentence. I'd expect a more thoughtful response from you.
