You'll are missing the best part of staying at Oakridge. You don't have to worry about hitting a thousand stumps getting out to the main lake.
I'd had all good experiences there also.

Ernie Dye is now at Lake Fork Resort, so if you have been told he retired, well that would be a stretch. New owners and Ernie will have a full stock of baits in Lake Fork Resort before to long.

That would be some service.Order by phone and have a nice young lady walk it to your boat waiting on the lake.

Not too many places have customer service not go downhill when they're busy. I heard there were people buying broken rods at garage sales and turning them in for the replacement. Never stayed at oak ridge but I sure do enjoy stopping for lunch and checking out the tackle shop. Food service can't be too bad either, plenty of guides go there daily for lunch.

Especially on the lake, they cant really afford to hire on more staff because most of the year it isn't super busy. I haven't had any issues at any of the fork marinas ive been to. So mainly what I see is, it's just preference. If you have a bad run in then it is your right to not go back and go to a different marina. At the end of the day they're all human and mistakes will probably be made.

I've only eaten there/shopped the tackle store on off days. I've never been there with a crowd. Chicken fried steak is good. If someone treated me poorly I wouldn't go back and I'd probably bash them too. No big deal.
