You could go to Bridgeport and practice casting, like I have been doing the last several weeks.

Drive fast, head East to Monticello. Low traffic, and fishing is Great if you like to catch a ton of small bass. Big ones can be caught too, along with Catfish. All on the same baits!

Ray Roberts or maybe Eagle Mountain, generally speaking. But largely depends on the species you want to try and catch.

I was mainly wanting to target bass but wouldn't mind getting into some sandies as well.

Ray Roberts it is. It's only 45 minutes from my house anyway. Any ideas where I might find some sandies after I'm fed up trying to catch bass?

I feel like the rain we got should draw some up shallow, along with the lower Temps overs the next several days. We shall see.

Could go to Amon Carter if its open. Not a bad lake. Has deep water and shallow water. Plenty of trees
