Tuesday 9-1
Belinda & I got out around 5pm after getting our 2015-2016 licenses at Star Mart.
The 1st 2 spots gave up dinks and small keepers, but the 3rd was a charm!
A wind front hit suddenly, but my Ulterra held me spot on thumb
It only works good in a brisk wind, and the wind was far past brisk realmad
We had to upsize to 1/16 jigheads, but for an hour, as soon as it got to 17', THUMP!
No little fish, all good solid fish!!!! You would have almost thought we were catching the same fish again and again roflmao

We were using Mr. Frys, but I think we could have used the Supers!!!!

Wednesday 9-2
We started fishing that evening in a different area, same story, dinks & small keepers.
Ran back to the area we had fished the evening before, different spot and the bite was on clap
Not as fast as Tuesday, but a great evening of fishing banana

After parking the truck and boat, Belinda asked, "We fishing tomorrow?"
NO!, I need to recoup for a couple" Her lower lip pouted out a bit, but she said she understood.

Saturday 9-5
We were supposed to fish with Tommie, but found out that he didn't bring his seats and I had to back out.....Just can't stand and fish for very long bang

We got an early start on a beautiful morning clap

Caught some nice 11" fish on a bp in 14 fow.
We searched & found some more bp's the same depth, but the sun had gotten up too high.
Ran back to the general area we had been fishing.
Although the bite was slower, we used 1/32 jigheads and SLOWLY worked the 18' to 15' water column.
The fish would just get tired of it moving in front of them and attack the bait with all they had!

At one point, Belinda claimed I was "Front Seating" her, felt my seat turn a bit and she climbed on the front of the boat roflmao

She was catching fish faster then me, so I don't know where she got that thought hmmm

We ran into Hickory Nut and gave him the 21 we had kept, most were quality fish with thick shoulders!

Monday 9-7
Hickory Nut and I got on the water early, but it was a slow start.
We managed to boat some keepers, but nothing to brag about.
HN said that he had found several spots since Slade had tuned in his graph, so off we went bolt
As soon as we pulled up to the 1st spot, it was GAME ON!
We were slinging slabs in the boat at a fast pace cheers

This is the only one we weighed - 2#6oz thumb

Took this pic for shecrappiekilla roflmao

At about Noon thirty, we gave the 23-24 that we had in the box to TexExp and continued our quest de

We threw back quite a few keepers before HN decided that he might as well keep 9 to take home, so we started loading the box again cheers

After getting the nine HN wanted, I had had enough, then HN stuck the best fish of the day hooked

We didn't weigh her, just took a pic and sent her swimming

All fish were caught on Pearl Ice & Monkey Milk, with the majority coming from 17' down in 20-24 fow.

Sorry I had some great screen shots of structure, but I erased them off the SD card before I save them bang

I've had a GREAT week, just hope I saved a little MOJO for the TSCC!

Todd that a great report, as I said before I see that Belinda is still out smarting you by crawling on the front of the boat.

Great sun set pictures and that's a good picture of me...... I mean you also.

Good job Todd and Belinda clap

Last Thursday and Friday, they were hitting that Pearl Ice so hard, they would darn near knock the rod out of my hand. Vicious strikes.

Up until yesterday, I was catching dinks on those spots that we were fishing. Todd must have a rabbits foot in every pocket. Also Fri morning I stopped by and picked up a nine ft G-rod. That is all I used the rest of the time I fished. Great rods. Read Slewfoots post and Langdon and I say there is nothing to catching them big fish. I do have fifty nine years more practice than he does roflmao

Thanks for the replies everyone cheers

Belinda is ready for the TSCC to be over so she can get back to fish hooked

Her last trip out she pinched a nerve in her neck. I attempted to bring her in, but she wasn't having none of it!!!
Later, when I saw a tear in her eye, I didn't say a word, just headed to the ramp.
That girl loves the "THUMP" clap

Now that the rain has my boat wet, got to see about cleaning some of this $*@! off
