We're doing a fork fishing trip first weekend of October and was interested in Axtons. About 12 of us? Anybody have any experience with it, space, lake access etc?

I stayed in one of the motel rooms in June. I don't think there was anyone else there. The ramp is iffy. Didn't see the campsites.

I've stayed there several times this year in a room close to the ramp. They have electrical hook ups for your boat, plenty of parking and the service is always good. They'll even put your room key in your room for you if you want to launch before they open. It's not the most classy place but it's a good fishing camp. Every room comes with two queen beds in it, however there is no fridge. They're also close to a couple resturants. As for camping out there I'm not sure if they offer that...

+ 1

pretty good burgers at the store. Pretty nasty rooms but hey, it's Fork so it's all good. Actually my signature picture is of my rig parked at Axton's!

I'm not sure about camping with that large of a group.. They did place some metal carport looking things out on the point...Might want to call Lake View it's across the street from Axtons.. They have a nice pavilion with camping next to it I believe, at least they mow the grass there.

you have an RV park next to it with a very high crime rate.
