Does anyone have any experience here? would it be best to take a kayak? particular flies that youve had better luck with there? thanks for any pointers.

I was there a couple weeks ago. River flow at 85 cfm and stained. I caught several Gbass on olive, black/olive #8 wooley buggers. A couple on a small popper. The Llano bug is a popular choice but has not worked for me and it's harder to toss. The run from the second crossing to the one lane bridge was fun and there's some good water from the State Park to the Tech campus. There are several shuttles to get you where you need.
