Looks like you had a good day friend. You definitely need to get a Hawg Trough though!

Yes I did have a fun/good day. I have a scale but they weren't big enough for me to weigh. I'm planning on it but a trough only gives length. I'm more into weight.
I agree Jerry. I usually only hold them like that for a few seconds and I always make sure they can close their mouths before I let them go. I do not do this with bigger bass. The smaller ones seems to handle it better so I don't mind for a few seconds, but I will never hold another above 2.5 pounds like this. Thank you for the reminder though.
If you notice that my knuckles are also helping support the fish... Takes a little bit of the load off the jaws.

I went back into Plano yesterday morning. I got there before the sun came up and was on the water by 6:30 so light was just starting to peak and I could see everything I needed to. I kept waiting to see somebody else launch a kayak but there was none. I had the entire place to myself in the kayak. It was the first time I haven't seen anyone else there. It was very peaceful. There was several people bank fishing, but I wasn't worried about them as I can get to places they can't. I didn't take pictures of all my fish, but I took a few. My best fish came at 6:40am. The battery in my scale died but it was reading 4.95 pounds before it cut off and wouldn't come back on... I guess it's time for a new battery lol I had a blast and caught I think right at 15 total. I was getting a bunch of blow ups on top water, and caught about 5 on top. The rest were on Jigs or soft plastics. Overall, my labor day was filled with the labor of lifting bass out of the water... oh it was terrible. The first 2 images are the same fish. I couldn't get my stupid camera to take a descent picture. I wasn't happy about that. Some pictures of more:

I think the reason no one was at Legacy is because they were all in Prosper. Got there at 6:15 and there were already 4 other cars in the parking lot. While unloading, two more pulled up. While launching, another one pulled up. Needless to say, there wasn't much room to fish. Shoulda gone to Legacy apparently.

Fished prosper today! Caught a couple decent fish...tough conditions with the wind and heat. Prosper pond has got some good native fish in it. Can't wait for cooler weather. Where is the legacy pond? DM if you feel like sharing. I fished that area for years just never with the yak. Looks like you had a great day in the water BankBassin. If you ever want some company let me know. Tight lines gents!!!

I think we fish at the same place, never took the yak because I saw a huge snake....I'm not one to be scared of snakes but everyone left when we saw this guy cruising the bank

Nice fish BankBassin! With the rain bringing the water levels in the area back up I think maybe a trip to the swamp is in order! Just need a little bit more rain and these cooler temps to hang around and we could have another good day out there.
