Who has one and how do you like it so far?
I'm so close to getting one but haven't heard enough yet.

How will the Helix compare to the Onix and will the price be comparable?

The prices will not be comparable, the Helix will be about $1000> less.

If you look at the 12 in the picture, you can see it has the left side readouts like the 800 and 900 series has, not the bottom readouts like the 1100 series.
BUT they are not in the white boxes.
That has already been changed for the Helix 5 SI model with a software update that came out on 8/3/2015.
You can turn all of them off if you want or you can use the pre-selected temp depth readout.

This is the new software update specs. I doubt the larger models will get the flasher simulator.

• Fixed an issue where units were not successfully encrypting large format SD cards. In this version the following sizes have been tested: 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB
• Improved the low voltage shutoff threshold to held control heads remain booted while the boat engine is started.
• Fixed an issue where the units were missing the GPS Output menu option.

Got one from TW for bow and it comes with a transom transducer so had to order a adapter ( small piece of plastic and hose clamp ) for 35 bucks. They could have added the plastic in with transducer and I could have bought the hose clamp for 2 bucks. Not too happy about this, gouging in my opinion. Will see how it works. fish

Fyi, you can swap the transducer out. Just give HB a call if you can wait.

The point is they could have put the 2 buck piece of plastic in the package. May go to Garmin next time. fish
