It has been years, but the spring spawn was always something else there. One of the best places to camp and fish there was in West TX.. - Top water was always good in the summer months. - Small spinner baits and crank baits worked great also. - They love the smaller lizards in 4 and 5 inch black/blue flake or blue tail.
Sorry I couldn't be of help on recent catching.

LNK- Let us know how you do. I used to fish Brady 20 yrs ago and always enjoyed going there. I figured with it being low that you couldnt launch, but guess I was wrong. Have a great trip!!!

I drove by there a few weeks ago. The lake is low but launching over by the marina/crappie house should be fine. That lake is truly unbelievable when everything lines up. Some of the best days of my life have been spent on Brady Lake for a variety of reasons. Good luck and report back.

I might have to go investigate this weekend as well. Some of my best days on the water were spent there with my Grandpa.

I was hoping you all were going to find them on Brady. Thanks for the report and glad you found the stripers.

Yep that was me. I caught one 13" bass on a squarebill and my buddy caught one about 6". We loaded up around 11:00 and went to a little private lake to salvage the day. Brady has a long way to go to get back to the "good ol days"!
