Our son is off to college and we are ready to start fishing again!!! Can anyone help us out on where to find some sandies on Cooper Lake? We went to Fork yesterday and Danny caught one and I caught NONE...Though I did manage to through my lure on top of a bridge...LOL!!  Thanks in advance for your help!! Cheryl B

We spent last weekend on cooper. It was tough.fished with Tony Parker Friday caught 7 fish,only one striper. We fished Saturday and Sunday and caught 2 stripers and 3 sandies. Troll rattle traps for sandies and we bounced 4 inch sassy s of bottom for stripers

We went and saw a few fish surfacing and one of our old GPS spots, but didn't catch any. Still, it was a beautiful evening on the lake and we enjoyed it!! Thanks for the information! CB

Cooper lake has been tough all year. Haven't read any good reports on it. So I wandered to Tawakoni for a better chance at catching sandies, hybrids, and stripers. I would venture out to Tawakoni.

I sure hope cooper is better next summer it was my favorite summer time lake.
