It was good to have 4-F's this evening! Great Friends, Good Fellowship, Good Food & a Good Flick!
After pretty good days on the lake Thursday & Friday, the ol' girl wasn't very nice at all today! Jpenwell & I fished from about 9am until after 12 for a total of 3 dinks and a 2# white bass. We were marking fish and getting thumps but coming up empty! Weird though, 2 of the little crappie and the white bass were all hooked in the anal fin or through the belly. WUWT?? Jerry stayed a couple hours after I had to leave and still only caught 2 dinks & 2small keepers. So, a TOUGH morning.
I had to leave so I could get ready for the opening of Pepop's Dinner Theater! LOL!! I had Jerry, his sweet wife Estel, my good friend Gerald Trahan and my sweet sister over for a fish fry and a movie. Everyone was awfully free with the compliments when we sat down to eat (I think they were just REAL HUNGRY!). Thanks to my sweet daughter-in-law for her excellent tarter sauce recipe. It was a big hit too! Anyway, a good time was had by all, which kinda eased the pain from the butt whoopin this morning! (Sorry, no pictures of that!) Here's a few from this eventin...

Looks like a great way ta spend a holiday weekend... And I guess thats why I like the crappie fish sooooo much. Some times they just humble the heck outta ya!

Ole Pepop and his sister sure know how to put a fantastic meal together. It was delicious! Estel and I had a great time with y'all, thanks for your generous hospitality bud. BTW your margaritas are the BEST!!!
