My wife's friends have a place on lake Livingston and she's making me go this weekend. Any suggestions on the fishing out there is welcomed.

We waxed them below the dam a couple of weeks ago when they are releasing water. We used umbrella rigs with white grub

Both whites and blacks should be chasing schools of shad on the main lake and hitting topwater.

On the dam with traps.

If you are on the upper end, Newtons Branch, White Rock Creek, and Harmon Creek.

We're staying on the east side way out on a point just south of the big bridge. I'm really close to kickapoo so that's where I'll be in the morning... That's for the pointers.

I thought you'd be south of the bridge... so try going straight across the lake to the west side and find the houses with fishing piers and boat docks. They hold fish. These are the homes nearest the bridge.

No marked boat lanes except in river. Don't take your boat unless very familiar with lake.

If you end up down south, fish the north end of Pine Island. The river channel butts up against the island on the north side. That's the only spot we used to fish there, you could fish it all day and catch fish.

Well... I went to kickapoo this morning and caught a few. This evening I went in the last cove to the right before the kickapoo bridge. I went back up under 190 in a little creek did really good. Well really good for my first time here. I caught 6 good keepers one was close to 5.
