Got out for a few hours on Tuesday morning. Several bass. Most small, but one decent size. All on crank bait. There are a ton of bass in the six to eight inch category out there!

The big one was caught way offshore on the main lake at 7:30 this morning. Bit a swimmin super fluke in 15 ft. When the sun got up I moved out a little deeper and caught two 15 inch fish on a deep crank, and that was all she wrote. Although I also caught a big drum on a football jig that had me excited for a second.

I would recommend avoiding the shallow flooded stuff, as I have only caught dinks in those areas. It appears that the good fish are in the normal summer patterns.

Thanks for the info I don't get off work till 7 so probably will miss the topwater bite. I will be fishing deep, big cranks, swimbait, fb jig, and crig. Thank you for the info if I can catch a couple fish it will be a successful trip in my books. I think I have only fished roberts 2 times in the last 3 years.

Well hope delvec did better than I did today. Fished brushpiles, rock piles, trees roadbeds, and threw everything I had in the boat at them. Had 6-7 bites only one hook up on a shakyhead at about 20ft deep but it jumped and spit the hook. Need to do more work out there to figure them out. On a positive though man those little 4"-8" bass are everywhere it's going to be really good in a few year.

I had 20 fish, but 15 of them wouldn't feed the both of us. And 5 of them could fit in a sardine can. My big fish was a 2 1/2 lb spotted bass. There is so many small fish its crazy, but even the 10" fish look like footballs. This spawn should really help the Large mouth population in the years to come.
