Besides the obvious that one has a notch cut in it they are different in how they move water. You will get more of a buzz type action with one and more of a thump type actions with the other.

Buy the ones on the right(speed worm), you can always cut the notch with scissors if you want the different action

Lot more thump for the Speed Worm on the right. More subtle swimming/kicking action on the left.

Hold them up side by side. One will give you the feeling you'll catch more bass than the other one. Get those.

Ultra vibe vs original paddle tail - the ultra vibe worms work great as trailers. I use white ones, tear them in half, and use them on chatterbaits and spinnerbaits. They work well on an underspin head too. I think the main thing with the ultra vibe is swimming it fast. They get much better action at hi speed. The original on the other hand works better at slower speeds. That paddle tail puts off some serious thump when you swim it, it honestly feels like a big single colorado blade turning over. I like using the paddle tail ones on a swim head OR occasionally, if I'm going to slow roll a spinnerbait, I'll use half of one as a trailer.

They both work plain ole texas rigged as well. I've also caught fish by throwing the vibe tail weightless and fishing it just like a senko.
