Sunday Morning Tournament Recap
It’s been a while since I’ve fished a tournament, so I decided to come out this morning for some competition. I surprised myself. Whereas the last few days I have been catching numbers, today I made a switch on the fly, and began to see better quality. I caught approx. 15 fish today. With the limit for the event being 3, I limited out with my best 3 fish totaling 6.05 lbs. I am very proud, because I adjusted my game plan and stayed confident in that decision, meanwhile boating some good bass.
I will share some generalities of the approach I implemented today. I fished in a depth between 5-7 ft. I focused on main lake points tied to the major creeks. Finally, I threw moving baits while there was current and a breeze, swapping to a finesse setup on spinning tackle during periods of slack water.
