While doing a little boat shopping on the internet I called a dealership around Yantis Texas. They had one nearly like what would suit my needs best but more pricy than I could afford. I asked a few questions and the salesperson keep referring me back to the website for any of the Q and A's that I needed. I began to offered my phone number to the salesperson, but before I could finish with it. The salesperson responded quickly said "Why do I need your number?" I said You're salesperson, right? Well I guess the personal connection of a "REAL" Salesperson is lost!

I would have told him to shove it where the sun doesn't shine. Real Salesperson would have wanted all the information he could get from you. Lots of good buys out there, keep searching, you will find what you want.

Evidently the sales person doesnt have your best interest in mind. Its amazing how some people in the retail world lose sight of the real picture.

Call back and ask to speak to the owner to explain why it will be a cold day in hell before you buy from his yard.

I hesitated and thought about it and decided not to get rude with him. Maybe he sales enough boats of the 70K range and don't have time for the average ole Joe! So i'll take the high road and not shop there as recommended . Thanks !

Not me! I would call and speak with the owner or GM and let him know what is going on. He may not care but being in the retail management end of things myself, I would definitely want to know. You can't fix a problem that you don't know exist.

You can't fix a problem that you don't know exist. CALL THE MANAGER !!! Here is the thing, if you dont call and let the GM know about his sale persons actions, the sales person will continue to act that way. You would be surprised on how important a business reputation is.

Call Fun N Sun Boats and Tackle at 817-280-0303 and ask for Monte, Fann or Brad and tell them I told you to call. End of Story. No need to put up with a salesperson like that!

I mean we need to not get offended by everything. Were u going to buy that boat? Did u look at the boat? If there is nothing he has for u why does he need ur number. Maybe he was being honest. Would u rather he take your number and never call u back.
The guy did u a favor. Eliminated a choice for u.

He must have been a salaried sales person. Any commission sales person would have been more professional than that even if he didn't have what you wanted. He could have helped you with a referral.
let it go and blow it off. Hope you find what you are looking for.
