Anyone use the 1/2oz Yellow Magic? Which do you prefer 1/2oz or 1/4oz?

I've caught fish on the big one but it seems like the little one will put produce it 95% of the time.

Big one for me!

that's the only size I use. Not to mention it's much better to have when you are around schooling fish because you can cast it farther.

haven't used a yellow magic...what's the difference between this and the pop-r?

ok, outside of the price is about double, don't see much difference.
I guess saying I'm throwing a Yellow Magic is more fashionable than saying Pop-R!

1/2 is all I use.

I've seen the yellow magic out produce a Pop-R a whole lot more than the other way around.
That's not to say that I haven't had awesome days with a tuned pop-r.

3/8oz was the best one they ever made. I do not think they make it anymore

I always use the 1/2oz. Best one in my opinion.

First thing to do when you get one.....Change the hooks!!

Bottom lip has less of a cup than a pop-r. Pop-r often has a deep "bloop" sound when you pop the bait, yellow magic tends to splash water without the deep bloop sound. The yellow magic is easy to walk with help of the smaller bottom lip. I only fish the 1/2 oz and it produces very well. Oh and the hooks on yellow magic's are very sharp.
