So what's your best bait to fish while a lake is in the beginning, Ending and full turnover mode.

Another lake

It's normal during turn over to catch fish scattered throughout the water column more so than before turn over. Shallow to deep, they can be anywhere. Finding a workable pattern can be tough. It's usually a good move to locate the shad but they can be just as scattered. Covering a lot of water rather than sitting on previously productive holes is a good idea. The best bait can change throughout the day.

like mentioned above cover water with moving baits... If you find a stretch of bank holding a few fish, run through it again.

Bump and run. A few casts, go down a ways and cast a few more.

I pick up my remote control and relax or a shotgun and go dove hunting.

When the lake is turning over that is when I catch up on all the stuff around the house I put off all year while I was at the lake.

go flip shallow if you must fish, personally I will just wax the boat or do something else productive

Splatter back crankbait, arig flutter spoon

Put on a squarebill or a topwater/wakebait and go flying down the bank. The more water you cover the better your odds will be.
