It's one of the worst marinas I have ever seen. It should have been shut down long ago.

It's got to be tough operating a marina and trying to make money, but having a total disregard for protecting the very waters you are trying to make a living from is just wrong. They should have been shut down long ago and any assets they have worth selling should be sold and the money spent to clean up the area!

Putting monies into their pockets instead of upkeep.

Just wondering if a marina owner charges a monthly or annual fee for a slip that come with water and electric , and the slip for months has none , is this legal?

Being without amenities for a reasonable period of time for marina repairs or maintenance is acceptable, but if the rental contract you sign states that you will have water and electricity, it would be fraud to charge for it and not provide it. In reality, unless you want to go to the expense of a lawsuit or renegotiate, there's little you can do about it except move. On the other end, the marina operator has the right to chain up your boat if you withhold payment. On Belton, there's no place to move. The only other marina on the lake is Frank's and although it's also in pretty bad shape, it's always full. Lake Belton is not the place to wetslip a boat.

Thank's Bob. As I grew up on lake Belton , and worked for Frank Smith as a kid , it was bad to here that. Have some really great memories of that marina , and Franks Lakeview Inn. We had a farm 1 mile down the road on 423 and use to ride my horse to the dam and fish there a lot.

Used to eat lunch at the Lakeview cafe before it changed hands. They had a great lunch buffet and a black man in the kitchen that cooked the best catfish I've ever eaten. After it changed over, I went in there one time for lunch, the food was terrible, and I've never been back

I washed dishes for Frank and Nita the owners for .50 cents an hour when I was in school. Lol showing my age.
