I am going fishing this weekend with the boss and I want to target the drum for dinner... He wants crappie, but I read there's a ton of drum up there. What can I use to target them? Any help is appreciated. I hear back in the timber is good, but idk. If need be please pm.thanks!

I catch them all the time with nightcrawler on the bottom when river fishing.


My personal best is still swimming out there just getting bigger. One of these days I will quit feeding it.

Minnows, fish the cedars coming into sand branch, full of drum, sand branch is full, just hop from tree to tree, make sure you a good heavy rod and line in the cedars or they'll break you line or wrapped you around limbs

Just South of the marina in 18-22 feet of water there are A ton of drum mixed in with the sand bass. We probably caught 20 drum this morning. We were using a 1oz slab bounced off the bottom. Was using chartreuse/white slab. I couldn't believe how many drum we caught.
