I am going fishing this weekend with the boss and I want to target the drum for dinner... He wants crappie, but I read there's a ton of drum up there. What can I use to target them? Any help is appreciated. I hear back in the timber is good, but idk. If need be please pm.thanks!

I catch them all the time with nightcrawler on the bottom when river fishing.

Minnows, fish the cedars coming into sand branch, full of drum, sand branch is full, just hop from tree to tree, make sure you a good heavy rod and line in the cedars or they'll break you line or wrapped you around limbs

Just South of the marina in 18-22 feet of water there are A ton of drum mixed in with the sand bass. We probably caught 20 drum this morning. We were using a 1oz slab bounced off the bottom. Was using chartreuse/white slab. I couldn't believe how many drum we caught.
