Went yesterday and only caught 1 small bluegill and 1 very small crappie. The carp were really going after it so I went back later to try for a few of them and ended up with a bunch of really small cats instead. Not a great day but it was a lot of fun. Might hit the pond later this week but not sure yet.
I'm on other forums that deal with the old turbo powered Buicks.;)

I plan to be at Joe Pool Sat - Mon. Creek one day, trees in open water the next, then who knows????

I'll be taking my son out to catch some Bluegill... he told me he wants to eat some. We have never had Bluegill before so this should be interesting!

I'll be fishing but not in Texas.
Everyone be safe, Memorial, The 4th, and Labor Day are when the idiots come out to play and cause havoc.

The fishing barge at Joe Pool is finally open. I plan to be there Sunday and again Wednesday.

Got to fish Friday and Saturday on Mcqueeney. Did good both days. Caught Bluegill and some nice Redbreast. Finally caught a Trophy Rio off the Guadalupe. It was right at 9 inches. The first of the year. Looks like I will be working Sunday through Friday this upcoming week. Side Note: Hope everyone is having a nice Labor Day Holiday.

I went to my property on the cibolo and caught a bunch of gills and my buddy caught two bass.i made one cast and the bobber hit the water and never came up, I had a gill caught in less than a second.one side of the dam had tons of turtles and the other had lots of water snakes but I had a lot of fun.
