Trust me. Try this.

I can hit that lake in the evening after work and catch decent numbers and size every time with this worm. Throw it weight less. Along grass. And hang on.

Also, try a black with blue Denny structure jig with a SK rage craw trailer. Try it on the first point and second point, south of the dam, on the west side of the lake. Try it in 12-15ft. Fewer fish, but I have always caught a GOOD one there. Some have been in the 7-8lb range.

I have never fished the lake. Just curious, have you fished the breakline/drop off related to the areas you are catching those fish, if so any luck, have you graphed any larger fish relating to the bottom of the lake on or near the drop off? I am guessing you are fishing grass lines on main lake points? Turned audio off when watching. Navionics shows a defined creek channel and defined feeder creeks that tie into main lake creek and have you fished the long flat bars/points that are formed by or connected to the channels? Specifically the areas near the drop off into the main creek and feeder creek. I would check it out myself but have 3 kids under 5 with a 2mth old and no grandparents close enough to watch kids for wife and I. Guess I need to adopt some DFW grandparents so I can get a fishing trip in. Thanks for sharing vid. Nice job McQueen sharing detailed info, hope that karma gives up a double digit for you.

That was the original concept behind public forums. If you don't want to share or learn something, why be on here?

I was fishing the main point on the lake across from the dam at the beginning of the video and then I move a little south and believe I found an old cattle pond. That is where I caught that catfish and larger bass. It also had a very deep channel leading up to it to where it was 6-10' on the sides and almost 20' in the center. The channel was not wide at all leading up to this old cattle pond. Nothing but very still water and TONS of baitfish.

Nice video. Thanks for sharing!!! One suggestion...while fishing the lipless crank once you set the hook initially, don't set any more...let your reel bring him in. If you are fishing the correct setup with line strength, you should just need to keep your rod tip up and reel it in. By multiple "sets" or Pumps you allow your bait to change positions in the mouth and will cause you to lose more fish. Look forward to more vids!!!

Daaaaaang.... Steez is giving away his honey holes?

Lunker... One bit of advice. Don't pump your rod tip after you hook a fish like you would if you were deep sea fishing. wink

What a great looking sunrise. That's my favorite time to be driving across the lake. Absolutely beautiful and looks like you had fun.

A couple. I'm tired of Pool getting a bad rap from people. It has a LOT of big bass in it. I've been fishing it pretty steady for about 10-11 years. I have hundreds of spots on that lake. Hah. Someday, I'll even have a new boat with updated electronics and I will be able to mark all the spots. Right now, I have them in my head. Not the best place for them. Lol. Same thing for Clark and Bardwell.

I can show you where some giants live in that pond, hit me up if interested. Been fishing that lake since it opened. It's got some absolute beast that live in there
