It seems a few/several fishing forum brothers are now having some decent luck pond fishing. After all the excessive Spring rains, the fishing was tough in ponds and on lakes through much of the Summer. I can't wait to fish again, because I got skunked too many times during the Summer. Now, that the fish are biting, I've been skunked from fishing at all due to my broken right wrist, (actually the radius bone). I am finally using my hand again, but the way a rod has to be cast, (and I can barely cast 10 ft with my left) it's all wrist action. I'm hoping to fish again in 2 weeks or so, maybe sooner! I don't know who was lying to you, but I've had a better summer than usual. The rains brought new water in and bass could get to places they haven't before. I've caught more bass and bigger bass than I have in a while. Maybe it's all of you that's making me a better fisherman, that's what I think, but I think the rains helped me.

I caught a bunch of fish in the rain even. I am glad that you're ready to get back in the mix. Good luck and leave some for the rest of us.

No one is lying, I've read many of the topics in this forum, and from my experience, I've had some "off" fishing, but again, I'll give it a go real soon! Catch'cha soon...

I've had great fishing with the water levels up and all the rain. If you can't cast, get out there and flip. Flipping will only get better as you practice more and more. You can also pitch as well. Take it as an opportunity to work on your tackle organization and stuff. Maybe take some time and "create" your own baits.

Yup...I played through the pain and discomfort at an open mic last night...guitar strumming hurts when injured. If I can do that, then casting is up next!
