David @ shut-up-and-fish

First off, is having 2 gps antennas the same as 2 receivers? Is it the same thing with people simply calling them different names?

I knew that the MG had 2 gps receivers/antennas in the unit itself and had just assumed that the internal "computer" controlling the motor would simply "average" the inputs to get a more precise lock. Are you saying that it only uses one at a time and switches back and forth to the one with the strongest signal? Either way, it seems to be the cats meow.....

Dave is traveling today so he asked me to post a pic of one of his better fish from Sunday.

Man, this is the kind of support I expect from some folks here. (Nitro). I did catch a few on Sunday. Only one keeper. It was a quick "test" run. Hopefully, I will be able to provide a few pics of some dead ones fairly soon.

SCK, there's no way I'm going to be able to have as good of pictures as you. I'm about convinced you're fishing in the aquarium at Bass Pro Shops as many as you drag out of the water.

After a couple of texts that I have received from our good buddy BlueNitro, I just wanted everyone to know that the picture above is not the only crappie he has caught this year, but it's definitely the biggest.

Ouch!!! True but it still smarts.

Maybe we could do better on some other lake than Lewisville. Road trip this weekend?

I'm sure I can make that happen either Saturday or Monday. Sunday is already booked with family stuff.

I'm not an expert, but I believe the motorguide will hold a much tighter lock.

Let's do it. My fall is about to get real busy. My son starts fall baseball games next week, so I have to get that schedule. (Unfortunately, I do know that their last tournament is scheduled for opening weekend of rifle season.)

Thanks Dave I guess I'll save for a Motorguide then. I know that the Minn Kota deploys on it's own, and kinda liked that feature. Can't have it all though.. frown

I just bought the 36v 54" version today. It should work good with my 2ea touch 12's...now to figure out a way to install a LSS-2 on it...Hopefully I will have it Friday.
