Jos and I decided to investigate the stories we had heard about big bluegills coming out of Purtis Creek this weekend... We still have tomorrow morning, but today we found only small ones. Jos did land something pretty special, however. Her PB largemouth!



A nice healthy 23" beasty... Who knows what tomorrow may include! Catch and release is obviously working very well here...

Well, we never found the big 'gills, but caught tons of small ones... largest probably 6". Also pulled in some small channels. This was the largest bass today...



Planning on getting a tandem NuCanoe next spring and will return to explore this beautiful lake again.
