I had almost the exact same outcome as last week: 10 bass, all LMBs. I was hoping to catch another SMB.

I followed my summer routine of working the dam side of the island, caught a few there, then I moved over to the dam and joined Gary in his PA and caught a few there, then some along the outside of the veggie line heading back to the ramp where I caught 3 more.

No giants for me with the largest around 2.5 lbs. maybe one was close to 3.

Gary caught a 7 lber. back in a cove at the base of some timber he has fished successfully before.

Overcast almost all day, smooth water in the AM, windy as we approached noon.

I used a drop shot all day long. Here is one I caught over by the dam in the morning.

Thanks for the Wheeler Branch Report. I fished Wheeler Branch Friday and caught 5, no monsters but did have a delightful day fishing. When I am on the lake and see all the small bass I can only imagine how well this little lake will be in five years.
