sounds like right combination.

I might hit lake lavon tonight from 8 to 12 with live bluegills.

anyone knows which park i can access for night time fishing? I hate to drive all the way out there knowing the park is closed... i live in Mckinney, so hope it's not too south..

thanks.

Moon gravity pull up water column reducing water pressure... easy for big fish to move...

Full moon means they can see so they will be actively chasing their favorite food SHAD...

shad will be at wind blown points or hard bottom flats... wind is the key.

The bigger the waves the better the chance you'll land big fish... big fish ride in with waves to attack their preys...

Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.

Shad actually need more light to feed, catfish can use their sense of smell to feed in the dark, but for live bait they definitely use their eyes... Full moon night is bright even with overcast, big fish use change of light to their advantage, my guess is that overcast work as cover for them to ambush their preys...

Thanks for the tip guys. I couldn't go. I had to take care of family duties. Besides, I don't know which parks are open for night fishing. Maybe next month..

We fished the full moon friday night for 630pm to midnight ...caught 5 blues..live perch and shad & skip jack......the night bite had been off now for 3 weeks....up our way..

If it ain't broke don't fix it...but go ahead and work on it anyway.....
