I had a great day. One of my best this year. Was on largest school of sand bass I have seen in awhile. Lots of hybrid mixed in early and they came back about 3:30. Lots of boats on the water. That may be what had them pushed up on enchanted isle.

Maybe the morons herded them over to you. I just didn't have the patience to deal with them. Im glad you did well.

If you go to Enchanted Isle you will see the road bed on a lake master map, marked red. They were glued to it. It was honestly a school that was about 90 feet wide and about 100 yards long. Side imaging just clouded up solid. The hybrid usually came right on either side of the sand bass school. They would move around but never very far. Dennis Christians catch reports almost always include Enchanted Isle. It's definitely worth checking tomorrow. There was also a large school on Merimac when I was headed out. 3 Jugg had 2 smaller schools. Saw nothing at Spillway hump, Iron Wall, and Rock Pile, however most of those have produced some for Dennis lately. But I can't remember ever sitting on the same spot for over 6 hours with a constant bite. Kept a Sandie limit and released well over 100 more. Kept 2 Hybrid and released 25-30. Only caught 2 short hybrid all day. No live bait and no trolling.

Great report. Glad to see you had a great time catching. After looking at Dennis' map. I don't see Enchanted Isle. Is that somewhere near Enchanted Oak? Thinking of heading there soon.

It's on the South end of the long point just north of Spillway Hump. It's just off the top of the map. Easy to find. Last weekend I fished a tiny hump much further North and did real well. I think having a good South wind helped. All the NE winds for a few weeks messed things up. I think things will get better over the next few weeks.

Fle-Fly looks kind of like a RSR slab. Softer and bendable. I get them at Walmart or Cabelas.

Shysters look like a Rooster Tail. Made by Luhr Jensen. I never see them at the stores but you can order them online. Much like fishing a Mepps.

Pretty sure I saw you out on Enchanted Isle Yesterday. I was in the Blue Tuffy. Thanks for the info.

Had to be me. In a Blue and white Nautic Star with a blue T Top. I was there from about 10 to 4:30.

That explains all the bass boats out on Sunday. I thought it seemed like there were more than usual.

We went out Sunday around noon. We had some friends down from NJ, and one of them had never caught a fish in her life. We started at Dream Team 1, where I catch almost all of my fish. There was nothing there. I mean ZERO.

The pressure was on to get this lady on some fish, so we went to sunken island. I have never seen a bigger school of sandies. South side of the hump, 20 FOW, all fat sandies.

It was game on at high noon. Can't beat that. My Jersey friend had a blast and is now hooked on fishing.

That's how I found them Saturday. Massive school. Before lunch there were lots of Hybrid in the mix.
