Just got back from Grapevine Lake and had a great lunch break!
Was out at Scott's Landing for a little over a 1hr and almost got a limit. Most fish were over 10in with a few small ones mixed in. Biggest of the day was 14in.

Style: Dock shooting and jigging.
Bait: Bobby Garland 2" Baby Shad in Chartreuse 03
Where: Boat slips. Poles, under lifts, under walkways, and hanging PVC Trees
Depth: 2-15 feet
Water: Clearish for Grapevine 2 1/2- 3 feet

Also had sand bass schooling at the mouth of the creek by the vineyards campgrounds

Today was a good day! Hope this helps cheers

That's very impressive. I'm catching a lot of fish at the marina, but I can't find many keepers.

Good report. I was out last weekend just to do some work on the boat now that I can finally get to it. Dropped a line with a little frog jig on it. Definitely got a few pecks so there is life there. Also saw sand bass surfacing in the cove. Haven't had a chance to really fish it since the lake levels rose. I was in 14 FOW last year, now I'm in 40..................

I went out this morning and landed 10 but only one was over 10in. I will be back out there this afternoon. If I catch a good one I will take photos. My freezer has been hurting without any crappie. Hope today will be like yesterday!

Question for those smarter than me, thinking of hitting the marina at night, jigs work at night? Never tried before

Yep. But, I always had better luck with minnows on the docks at night.

It's been a while since I've night fished, but when I do, I do okay with jigs.
