The river at Shreveport has dropped another 2ft in 4 days. Now at 18.6ft. Anyone been out there and seen what it looks like?

Went out Sat. And yes in 2 weeks dropping over 3' some things looked different. Dropped another foot since then. Water is still quite muddy. Lots of small floaters in the water so watch out for em.

entrance to Caspiana

entrance to white house. can finally see some of the rocks

as you leave port lake

channel leaving port lake. haven't hit anything but the depth sure varies

I saw 2.5' right at this last post but that was the shallowest thru that area

could barely see this water break a couple weeks ago

Should start dropping faster, Texoma is 2.06 high now and not releasing as much water as they were two weeks ago.

How does the river look now? Texoma closed off all but 2 gates, should see some fast dropping water in the river over the next week.

This was the last Gate change.
Monday, 24 Aug 15 at 1:00 p.m. ◦Pool Elevation = 619.27 feet.
◦New Gate Discharge was 52 cubic feet per second.
◦New Gate Settings: ◾1 Conduit Gate open 0.10 FEET

They are running generators about 20 hours a day all gates are basically closed. They typically always have
one gate cracked open. The Red should Cycle a little going up and down depending on how the gates at the locks are used in moving the river downstream. I would suspect with cooler temps for them to reduce generation some and water levels to continue to drop down stream.

Iam at red river now and fished Friday and saturday the river is fishing good and there is alot of areas you can't get in anymore and other areas are tough getting in cause of sandbars and if the river drops more those areas will for sure not be getting in to!

Fished the LaValley benefit tourney yesterday and wow have things changed since last week. Places we were catching fish "on trees at the shoreline" are now high and dry. Hyacinths just laying on the bank where they were fishable last Sat. We managed to catch a little over 9lbs but nothing big. Easily could have had 14 or 15 last week. The Red did give up one 17lb sack during the tourney so someone did Ok. Like Dax mentioned now that's it's dropping (below 16') sandbars have appeared everywhere. Please be careful trying to enter the cuts! Water has cleared up quite a bit and the current has slowed down as well. Heck might be back at 14'(normal pool) by end of next week if it keeps falling.
