The duo pencil 85 is a fish catching machine for me, definitely my favorite topwater when not throwing a frog.

Yellow Magic and then a Spook

But the other day someone mentioned the old Heddon Torpedo. I went out and picked up a couple and killed them with the G Finish Shad color.

Rebel Pop-R. Been using this for a long time and always seems to find some fish.

My favorite is a 3/8 oz. YM. They stopped making them, but you can still buy some off of Ebay from Japan for about $20 each. It is a BIG FISH Bait. Fishing a working man's T, I caught 4 on 4 casts, nothing big, but it was STILL a blast. Don't know why they stopped making them, because they couldn't sell them, I am sure, but it is the BOMB!!!!!! Hope this helps.

Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

OH, I have 14 of them, too.

Not if your fishing a yellow magic it isnt. Lol they both catch fish but with the YM you can make that bait move so subtle and walk the dog. I catch a ton of fish on them working very slow with subtle twitches.

Things change from time to time. I love throwing the YM's, Pop R's, Spooks, heck even the Torpedo. The last couple of weeks I've had great mornings with a 1/2 oz or maybe it's a 5/8 oz Rebel Pop R. The bigger version. Never did that well before with it. I know the saying "match the hatch" but the threadfins are that big yet. Oh well, I'll still take it!!!

The old, no longer in production Heddon Zara II & the Heddon torpedo. The Zara II was just the perfect size spook...sure wish they were still available.

For night time and low light I also still like to throw a Jitter Bug. They used to be so popular but rarely thrown anymore. Not many bass now a days have seen one over and over each weekend. An old classic that's like a new lure to bass now. I like the weedless version to. rockon

Zara Spook for sure. Really enjoy fishing the old wooden Spooks.

For me, it's difficult to have only one favorite. Mine used to be a tossup between the old, original #11 balsa floating Rapala, twitched on the surface in the daytime, and a black Jitterbug at night. Now, though, I'd have to add a Ribbit and a hollow-body frog to those 2 "old-timers."
