I just finished a video on tying certain knots but didn't even ask yall what you thought was the most used knot?

I went with the palomar, cinch and improved cinch knot

I try different knots but always go back to the improved clinch. Incidentally, it was the first knot I was taught to tie by my dad when I was 7 or 8 years old. For braid to leader, a variation of the FG Knot or double clinch knot. For braid to lure, Palomar.

For fun, download the Knot Wars app on your smart phone. It is a great reference to have with you while on the water

I don't know which is "the most used knot" but I believe it was Knot Wars who years ago determined that improved clinch and san diego where the 2 best for fluorocarbon and palomar was best for braid.

For mono and flouro (on most applications) I use and improved cinch, for braid Palomar, braid to flouro Alberto, all work great for me.

Improved cinch I would say is the most common used knot as most learned that first. Have been tying that knot for 20+years since my grandpa first taught me, long before I even knew what it was called.

I use improved cinch for almost everything outside of:
Frogging palomar
Flipping I tie a snell knot most if the time
Braid to Flouro double uni
