The famous Jana Shelton called me yesterday letting me know I had a package, and by golly it was the one I had been waiting for all week. I got the new G-Rod that I used to shoot docks with at our photo shoot a couple months ago, and with the nice case it came in, I couldn't be happier.
With this rod, I was able to shoot jigs twenty to thirty feet out of the backside of docks, and what was even more impressive was that I was able to feel every bite. If you dock shoot a lot, you know that feeling the bite is not usually the case. This little six foot rod has a tip, like all the others, that loads up when you set the hook, and does a fantastic job of bringing the fish out of the water when it gets to the boat.
I've fished with Bonehead rods, Pro Anglers, the Crappie Maxx rods, Ozark rods and Ugly Stiks, nothing that I've found compares to this rod. Nothing. They are not cheap, but neither are good guns. From what I can tell, they have a customer for life out of me.
The titanium eyes.
