My son and I hit the lake about 6:15 and started searching. We found very few fish relating to humps and slopes. We got our fish on main lake points in 8 to 14 feet of water. We marked some huge schools waving through but was having a hard time getting bit until I gave a big sideways pull on the slab, bang! Fish on! We commenced to catch some of the fattest 14 inch sandies I have caught at Eagle in a good while. We ended up with 26 fatties. Water temp was 84 degrees wich is about ten degrees cooler than the last time I was out. We did see a bit of top water action right before the sun went down but it was short lived. Every fish we caught was full of two inch baits. They were chasing hard. Good quick trip and beautiful sunset to cap it off. Off the lake by 8:30. The lake still has a couple fish in it All fish caught on Ole Ugly slabs in an ugly pink color.

Johnny,I think they know your schedule better than you do man. Fishing isn't great but it is getting better. Nice healthy fat fish. Fall should be good!

Went out to EM today with friends, caught 60+ trolling traps. Took almost all day but caught most between 2PM and 3:30 PM.

Nice job Caphero! The fish are starting to cooperate. Thanks Robert, things are looking a little better over here at Eagle.
