First off - never met him - i have been off and on Cedar Creek for a few years now and trying to learn lake fishing (grew up with cattle ponds) - to make this quick, i have watched several posts by him, googled his mepps video found on youtube, and he totally knows his stuff. I went out to "practice" his techniques tonight. I literally found a spot in about 20 foot of water with NO FISH ON MY GRAPH so i would not be disappointed if it didn't work, cant reiterate enough - wanted to PRACTICE. i had about 20 minutes of light. I caught several sandbass in no time before it got too dark. I was PRACTICING! unbelievable. I will practice more, but now cant wait to find a school of them.

in any event, i was not a white bass guy, but i may be now. I still need a ton more practice, but he does speak the truth in his video. watch it and listen to every word; he may be a Jedi Master. I dont expect to catch the numbers he does, but i believe his advice.

this is a bit longer than i intended, but with all the negativity on this site, i just wanted to support an honest and productive person.

PS - WATCH HIS VIDEO IF YOU WANT TO CATCH SAND BASS!

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

He is everything you say, and much more. He is also a master at finding fish. We are fortunate to have him!

follow up - not a graph expert but found hybrids hitting the surface, let the girlfriend catch those as they will bite a spork, and used mepps on the bottom - caught twice as many - for those with questions, watch Mr. Christian's video again and practice - took me a while to sense the lure hitting the bottom and bringing it up properly - over weighting helped me learn- AND - bite is very subtle - weird current here at Cedar Creek, but all can figure it out with practice - lots of fun while it lasts! next up will be request for recipes...HAH!

Mr. Christians method works at all lakes. Robert and I tried it at Whitney with mepps and other spinners and it worked better than other lures.
