Is it just me or has fishing been just great everywhere?

"..The pleasantist angling is to see the fish
Cut with her golden oars the silver stream,
And greedily devour the treacherous bait.

Not out here. We gained about 16 foot and the lake looks great. Still 18 foot low but lots of great flooded stuff. Haven't caught anything since before the rise.

I couldn't agree more.... Did well in some small tournaments, caught a 9.8 and five more over 8 lbs. I've caught more fish over 5 lbs this summer than the last few years combined. No true wall mounters but plenty of fun.

Oh ya.... And we ended the drought.

I haven't fished much this year, but the few trips I did go on, have all been very good.

I hear ponds have been fishing just fine. Lakes have been a different story!

It's been really tough for me. I haven't been able to go as much this year, but the trips I've made have been tough.

I've gotten my rear end kicked all summer. Tournament results show the lakes are fishing VERY tough. Like to know where you are going and what you have been doing.

Do you consider Fayette County central Texas,,, because it has been fishing great all summer.
Just as good as Lake Athens

Fished Athens Friday night for the first time this year. First time I had caught anything in a month. Nothing big but we got some bites and put a few fish in the boat. It was a nice change.

LBJ and Dunlap have been fishing well for me this Summer. Canyon sucks though. Haven't been to Austin since March, went to Fayette for the first time earlier this Summer, it has potential. Haven't been to Bastrop this year but will be going soon. Wood lake was horrible, McQueeney was on fire, Choke Canyon is a dink fest. I need to get out to Medina. Belton and Decker (Walter E. Long) are on my list for this Fall. Fishing this Summer for me has been a tiny bit sub-par but it's been a lot better than Spring for some odd reason.
