Headed to SoCal Thursday and going to go fishing for Tuna Friday. My buddies don't fly fish but I'm bringing my 10wt in case we get a school of them around the boat. There are also some Mahi and Marlin swimming around out there close by with the El Nino.

What are some of your favorite pelagic flies?
Don't worry about the mule, just load the cart

If you get them in fly rod range, it won't matter. Silver/olive basic baitfish patterns.

For yellowfin and black fin in the Gulf, go with pink, but my buddy in southern Cal. uses red and black (mainly blood red).

I should have told you Really jealous of both of your upcoming trips I hope y'all get into them. If it were me I know nothing about the salt but I would take a bunch of 6/O chartreuse and white clousers haha. Anyone who has fished the sandbass run with me should get a kick out of that. They catch every fish that is not a vegetarian just match size to the fish boltgood luck and be safe on the ocean look forward to some pics.
