I used Capt. Andrew Marikos. He was based near Port Isabel I believe but he took us up to the Port Mansfield area. He was a really good guide that knew his business. His name on here is Capt. Andrew. http://fishingcharterspi.com/

thumb Capt. Andrew. I have been fishing with him a couple of times. Good guy. I don't know how far up the coast he goes from Port Isbell/South Padre.

I've used Jack Klosterman (Captain Jacks fishing guide) a few times now. He grew up in the Port Mansfield area, knows his stuff. Will customize to your needs- drift, wade, live bait, plastics... will recommend what has been successful. He is very friendly and will teach novice anglers how to hook up.

Last time we went, some in our party of 3 did not want to wade. No wind for a drift. Capt Jack got out and pushed the boat by hand across the flats in waste deep water. He will do what he can to please.

Thanks guys! Feels great to hear all the good words! I use Capt. Frank in Port Mansfield. If you come don to my area I can get ya on some fish. We caught a weird mixed bag today. Shark, kings, jacks,a huge ray, and some reds. Fishing gets fun this time of year and I have to use all 8 of my rod holders to make sure we are ready for anything,.
