Anyone ever fish the old Kemp city lake just off of 175? Doesn't look like much for entry to it or if you can fish it but I have in laws living next to it but they don't ever fish. I'm also considering moving there and the place I'm may be moving to the property backs up to the dam of it

I do believe the lake and property around it is leased out for hunters and they don;t want you in there,

Well had people respond some say yes some same no so I sent a email to the city of Kemp and now waiting on a.response if its public or private. Guess the only way to be sure.

Finally received a response and the lake is now private property so guess if I move down there ill have a lake in my back yard I can't fish. Oh well cc is just down the road

Bad thing about it is Kemp city lake was built with taxpayer money and now private? Kemp and north of Mabank there are several flood control lakes that were built years ago and also with county tax money and they are all private too. That just don't seem right.

Who did you get this information from? This a public lake anyone can use unless this recently changed. Either way I would like to know who at the city gave you this information.

I emailed the city from their website and that's the response I received no details just said its private property
