It has been a long 3 months waiting for the water to recede and Lake Somerville to return to near normal. The damage to the infrastructure is tremendous and the loss of many trees will be evident for years to come. But with all that flood water came opportunity for Mother Nature to do what she does best.. Fishermen can look forward to the next few seasons of "better than average" fishing almost anywhere there's water.

Seeing the picnic tables in the water brings bad memories when I was about 11 years old. Dad took us to Lake Worth on the north side Fort Worth to look at the lake because it was up due to heavy rains. He stopped the car by the park with picnic tables that were under water. I took my Zebco 33 out and made one cast right up at the picnic table and hung a 5 pound bass. That was in the day before all the Florida Bass moved to Texas and a five pound bass was a big bass. For a 11 year old kid is was certainly a great fishing experience and a memory I have bookmarked in my mind forever.
As Alway I Enjoyed Your Video! Keep you the good work. Hope to fish with you soon on the Brazos!

Thanks Rick and Maybe I'll drum up another club trip to the river too! I sure would like to catch a big striper on the fly!
