What gauge wire should you use to the unit? 14 gauge?

What gauge wire should you use to the unit? 14 gauge? 14 gauge tinned marine wire. Don't settle for the less expensive automotive wire. 3 or 4 years down the road, you'll thank yourself for doing the job right the first time. Those electrical gremlins that always seem to show up can drive you nuts. Gman

We use Blue for side image and Amber for Down Image.
Those images look good. I'm sure a trip with Slade would make them pop a bit more.

Do y'all think I should settle with getting scans like these? I see several scans that show a lot more bottom & structure details & but I can't seem to get any better than these...these are from my 998.
Those are about the same pics that I was getting on my Onix units and I knew Slade could make them better.....and he did!!!

You can get the 998 series to be very clear but keep in mind that the DI on the 998 is different than the DI on the Onix. The DI on the Onix is a dedicated crystal for that DI as where the 998 is not dedicated.

Yeap di is generated from the si crystals on the core si units. I've been expecting the Onix price to come down some & I'll get one of those but as of now my wife would kill me if she found out I went & spent that much on a ff.....lol Speaking of blue palette I've did some scanning with it but when the sun is out I can see amber 1 & 2 better...here's a couple, what do you think of these? Doug V. & a couple other guys have posted some shots that are unbelievably clear & the amount of detail is unreal....

I haven't updated to 7.510 yet but running the one just before it. Those last scans are older & with earlier updates. I'll have time this w-end since I'm not fishn  to update. Then it'll be another week before I'll get the chance to get out & see how it works out..... May have to work out some time to hook up with Shade.... Thanks for the advise!!!
