it happened yesterday, my pole was deployed down and my unit stopped working, only thing i could figure out how to bring it up was to disconnect the 2 hydraulic lines from the pump, surely there is a easier way to bring it up in my situation?

Yeah, usually just some air in the line. Just keep the up button depressed and it should eventually come back up!
Pretty common with a new system that is not fully primed yet. If the system has any air in the lines it will cause exactly what you are describing. Keeping the UP button depressed and putting the boat in forward gear will help them come up every time.

If it doesn't come up move the boat into shallow water. This will force it up enough to get ahold of it to raise it up so you can tie it up.

Yea! found the problem, whoever installed the powerpole did a lousy job with the wireing, blue crimp connectors and no heat shrink, If I had known it was a bad connection I would not have taken my hydraulic lines off, now I need to clean all the fluid out my boat. Hey can I use any hydraulic fluid? or does it take a special fluid?
