1st attempt at clown jerkbaits, did a custom mixed gold back and mixed iridescent red head over a bone base. One was painted over a semi holographic blank. Still need to dial this one it seams like a popular pattern.

I always liked the clown pattern but my favorite was a clown with a very light turquoise lateral line. What can I say, I like a little blue now and then. smile

Nice work as usual Brad, jerk-bait time will soon be upon us. I'm gonna finally have to learn to throw one. It produces to well in the cooler/cold to not learn it.

not a clown but i was playing around with turquoise glitter tape (ala don harper) and did this little guy just for fun. definitely a spinning rod lure.

Don't know what it is about that little line but it really makes a difference. I think that you could do a lot better job than that tape though.

yeah i was working on a bait for don and needed to see how the tape below the lateral line was going to work. that was the smallest blank i had so i tried it on that. in theory it's a good idea but getting that effect with paint is a challenge because of the small area it covers.
i'm getting ready to try holographic foil for a lateral stripe and see what i get. could have potential. i do like the light refracting stripe just below the lateral line.
do you have a pic of the sebille lure you want?

i think holographic and ghost jerk baits in a variety of patterns are going to be producers.

My old spooks have a line that we use to put on with a cotton swab then coat it with finger nail polish to help keep it on. That line was a 1/4 of a inch or more and the huge bass loved it.

So it doesn't have to be a fine line for me. I like them wide. It just needs to be a pretty Turquoise with Ultra Fine Rainbow Glitter in it. Or at least Purple, Green, Blue Glitter.

hi don. those few stripes i've put on were put on before the epoxy went on. after epoxy theyre not even coming off. i'm going to do a few baits in the next few days and try sprinkling a glitter mix on it to see how that turns out. i'll send you a pic when i get it done.

Well school started so I have a few hours to kill every morning now. Plus I didn't have many jerkbaits before. After I receive the next 2 shipments I should have in the neighborhood of 250 jerkbaits. Maybe I should sell 1 or 2
