where do you launch at? Not going just wondering as Benbrook is close and I'm looking at Kayaks.

I launch at the dam itself. the beach road park. but you have to have a key to get in there. There is a boat ramp on the other side of the dam and it is just a little bit longer paddle. Still very close.
Benbrook can be a tough lake to fish but once you start to get to know it, it can really produce.

The boat ramp at Longhorn Park just east of the dam is open and there is no launch fee. Baja Beach just west of the dam is also open but a key is needed for access. A key can be purchased for $35 at Benbrook City Hall but will only be good till the first of October I believe. You could also launch from the Dutch Branch Marina for a $5 launch fee. It is a bit longer paddle to the dam from there but they have minnows for sale at the Marina.
