yup I stepped on leader and pulled hook into my finger. So then went home and cerakoted my reel

This was first time for reel, time will tell how it does. Least I won't drop it and not see it.

I do not see the connection between getting a hook in your finger and ceracoting your reel!!
But, how do you ceracote your reel? I like the Orange but not for a fly reel. Maybe a color to mastch the rod or handle?

Lol came home early and was killing some time. No not my fav color but I had some left after doing some other items in the Orange. I had to take reel apart blast it, spray it, and then carefully bake it. I was just curious how it will hold up on a reel. It was either orange or bronze.
