Haven't posted for awhile so here's a quick update. Schizophrenic probably best describes Hubbard since the Spring rains and floods. Others I've fished with recently can attest to this phenomenon also. Terry and Ray especially! Hubbard is like a light switch right now. It's either on or off. You can go out one day and pound the sand bass and Hybrids. You go the next day and your lucky if you catch five sand bass. But when it's on man has it been on! Was best fishing during the recent Blue and New moon periods. My wife Kathy reeled in six big hybrids one of the days with me. She catches and takes them off and releases them. God blessed me with a keeper in that woman! We doubled up several times that day. Had some good fishing days recently with my wife Kathy, neighbor Mark, Gene, Geoff, Aaron etc. Some days great some not so great. The first picture is from last night. Schooling fish and birds all over! Been a long time since seeing birds working. And I had a jacket on in August! So Hubbard is making you work this summer. Can't ever recall a summer quite like this. And I've been fishing Hubbard since birth. I'm kidding JV! I was two! Here's a few pictures as proof as they say. The good looking guy is Gene. This Fall and Winter ought to be stellar. I know a lot of us will be out there trying. That you can count on.
Thanks Frank. We made a late afternoon trip. I picked Frank and Mark up at the dock and they guided me to fish. It was not a jammed pack afternoon but we put some pretty good fish in the boat. That is a great shot of birds working, I am excited to see that.

I forgot to mention Geoff (Duece) pinged me last week and we went out fishing together for the first time. The Hybrids were elusive that night but we caught a bunch of sandies. Looking forward to fishing again Geoff!
I.m in on going out again. My fishing lately has gotten so poor I,ve been thinking about selling the boat and going " guides only". Let the pressure be on Matt and Varner. Figured out a guide trip a month would actually cost me less then running and maintaining a big boat. Maybe see you guys Tuesday eve on Hubbard (?).
I was hoping you would post Terry! You guys had a killer day that day out there. I wanted so bad to go that day but at least was able to buy Ray lunch for his birthday at Dodie's! BTW all fish were released to get bigger and stronger for another day!
